Five Friday Favs!
Happy Friday and happy November everyone!
Not sure if you all noticed or not, but last week we skipped the beloved addition of our "Five Friday Favs," so this week we're making up for it with 10 favs... yes, 10!
I hope you all enjoy a little weekly inspiration including everything from interior design, to architecture, to fashion, to recipes, and a bit in between too!
Here we go...
I am currently OBSESSED with the whole open island concept that I am seeing going on in Kitchens everywhere right now. Not only can this almost furniture-like piece be an aesthetically pleasing addition to the space, but can also be super functional for your family and the cook of the home. I love that it could almost take on it's own personality, somewhat separate from the rest of the space, and (like I said above) almost furniture-like with the use of contrasting finishes and materials. This one above really stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it. Love the additional storage and countertop surface it adds to this already amazing Kitchen, as well as the fact that it is on casters and could be moved around depending on how you are using the space at that time. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Hopefully I can squeeze this concept into one of my upcoming Kitchen designs. ;) Click on the photo above for a full article on some pretty amazing Kitchen islands.
I just adore this palette that the team over at Studio David Thulstrup has put together for one of their current projects, and to me, it just screams warm, cozy and fall! Love the mix of elements from woods and stone to fabrics, leathers and metals. Can't wait to see what this turns into!

I will be using this photo as inspiration for a current home I am working on. They are just the most lovely family and one of my fav #csclients! Their home is going to be dreamy! They are incorporating two shared work spaces into their home, similar to this one... One for the them, the husband and wife, and the other for their kids as a homework/hang out/arts and crafts area. Love how Luciana Penna mixed the reclaimed wood waterfall desk finish with the sleek white finish of the back wall storage and shelves.

I love me some breakfast and some brunch, so when I saw this one I almost started drooling right then and there. Very simple concept that I think even I can achieve and you can never go wrong with eggs, bacon, and avocados! Sounds like the perfect weekend treat to me.

With this photo, it was love at first sight. The wood ceiling detail in this space is fresh and unique and that finish is ON POINT! I mean come on! Can it get any more perfect?! This is a great example of mixing pieces that feel current, fresh and new with art and found objects that feel old, antique and collected. A beautifully curated space! This Kitchen is pretty gosh darn spectacular if you ask me! Love the raw, industrial feel of all of these elements mixed together in one space, yet it still feels warm and inviting...not too cold/harsh. I think the pop of greenery really puts the icing on the cake and that open, suspended shelving....eeeeeeee!!!!
This fireplace is just so inspirational and I will definitely be holding on to this one. Love the fusion of elements and finishes throughout the space, and this is pretty much my ideal/dream color palette as I think you all know by now. ;) Reminds me of our trip to Montana this summer for my dear friends' wedding and that cozy, lodge feel.

This fall fashion photo makes me miss Chicago so much!!! I love fall! And sweaters! And hats! Thankfully, we've also had some great Florida fall days down here in the south lately, so keep em' coming please! And I can hardly stop myself from buying this sweater... love the colors! So into that harvest mustard tone right now. Has anyone ever ordered from this website before? I would love to hear!
