Shop til' you Drop with C Studio!

August 2, 2017

Happy Wednesday everyone! Can you believe it's already August?! Where has the summer gone?!

I wanted to take this week's post to dive a little deeper into each of the items available in the CS Shop, as well as a few different ways to style them. In case you didn't know, you can shop some of my favorite accessories directly through the C Studio Interiors & Design website by clicking here or on the CS Shop tab at the top of the page! If you are craving a change throughout your home, but do not want to spend much time or money, switching up smaller items like accessories, rugs, window treatments, and bedding can be the perfect answer! This is something that can be done seasonally, or with just a few key pieces throughout to make a big impact. When working with clients, I often find that they do not understand how decorative items like accessories, greenery, artwork, and bedding play such a huge role in giving your house that icing on the cake that it needs to really make it feel like a warm, inviting home. Clients will opt out of doing this part of the design until after their installation day, however, they then step back and feel as if the space is still missing something... At this point, they usually decide to move forward with these more decorative items, and in the end, are beyond happy with the final result and then really start to understand how much they mean to the overall design of the space. I hope this post is helpful to incorporate into your own home or something that you may decide you need the help of C Studio to help you pull it all together. I would love to hear your comments and questions OR if there is a particular piece that you have been searching high and low for, but just can't find, I am happy to help!

Dipped woven basket - $25.00

There are endless options for styling the Dipped Woven Basket... from a simple storage option for blankets & throws, kids toys, puzzles & games, and decorative birch logs to a planter for your fiddle leaf fig tree...catering to that green thumb we all have, right?! ;)

A simple frame is a great way to share & display photos of your loved ones and treasured memories. A frame can go just about anywhere in your home, but some of my favorite examples are shown in the photos below on various shelves, console tables, and nightstands.

Bone magnifying glass - $24.00

A magnifying glass is one of my all time favorite accessory pieces. I especially love hunting for antique ones and actually display a couple around my own home. They are a timeless decorative piece that can be displayed in a number of ways and add just the right touch of dimension and texture when styling a shelf, coffee table, or any surface really!

Double ring on stand - $34.00

This piece, or really any sculptural piece, is perfect when styling shelves throughout your home. It adds height, and in this case, a mix of textures/finishes with the wood & marble base followed by the brass rings on top. This sculptural item could be collected over time from one of your travels, an antique, or something you purchase at a local home store.

Blue ikat canisters (set of two) - $45.00

& Perforated medallion container - $20.00

I definitely envision these pieces being used on a Kitchen counter, perhaps on some open shelves, or even on a Bathroom vanity for misc. items like cotton balls and q-tips. Either way, these canisters/containers are a great way to provide functional storage while also bringing a decorative, aesthetically pleasing element to whatever surface they are displayed on!
